The Italian Matteo Gigante has defeated the Austrian Lukas Neumayer on the red clay of Cordenons. Neumayer had managed to win with three Italian players in the group, securing his place in the final by winning over Riccardo Bonadio with a score of 6-2 7-6. Ironically, however, it was an Italian who beat him; Gigante proved his strength from the start by finishing the first half of the game with a score of 6 games to 0, and winning the second set, and the whole match, with a score of 6-2.
The 2023 season of Friuli’s International Tennis tournament has come to an end, especially for the 21 years old, whom from today, is n.161 of the ATP ranking, which makes even more proud to be the main sponsors of such an event.
