Serena Wines’ second sustainability report published.

As a company and as a family, we are proud to present our second sustainability report.

Making sustainable business is increasingly a moral duty and we are proud of the path taken and the goals that, with patience and dedication, we achieve to make our business respectful.

For many years we have set ourselves the goal of working with deep attention to the environment, employees and our customers. Publishing a second sustainability report is tangible proof of our commitment as a company that is active for the common good of the community, always offering a service that meets the standards we have set.

Since our roots in 1881, the courteous coexistence with our territory, Conegliano, in the heart of the Prosecco area, has been a cornerstone. We monitor water consumption, production, waste disposal and employee welfare. Over the years we have launched numerous projects with universities and research centers to improve our environmental and social impact, through initiatives aimed at supporting charities and sports.

In the company we have undertaken a path of sustainability according to the standard EQUALITAS-ORGANIZATION for business processes of wine processing, up to bottling and sale of the finished product. The standard of Equalitas addresses sustainability according to three pillars: social, environmental, economic. For each pillar, indicators are defined, verifiable and measurable that allow to trace the activities according to precise schemes.

Based on the 2030 Agenda, we decided to develop a sustainability project that includes the achievement of some objectives including: the monitoring and reduction of carbon footprint and water footprint, reduction of the company’s environmental impact, technological development to improve the control of consumption and digitalization of the company.

We are happy to have laid the foundations for a more sustainable company and aware of the great projects that can still be realized we want to commit ourselves to continuously improve.
